About the Author

Sheenah King moved to Invermere ,BC from the prairies in 1996 for one winter and has stayed for 16 years! She was introduced to the world of glass by her life-long BFF, Leah Duperreault in 2003.  In 2004 Sheenah began teaching lamp-working classes for Bavin Glassworks. She has since been working to develop her own style of bead making and jewelry design.

In 2010 Sheenah and her husband, Jamie brought a beautiful baby boy, Ryder, into this world. She now spends her time juggling being a mom, artist, teacher, wife, friend and waitress!

Sheenah’s work is distinguished by her fine detailed stringer work, fun and interesting shapes and color combinations.

“I like to make my beads look like tiny paintings!”.
